Ogun LG Poll: PDP Unveils Candidates Ahead Of Local Government Election, Present Flags To Candidates In Remo North

As part of the electioneering process, geared towards the 2021 local government election in Ogun State, the Remo North chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially unveiled Omooba Abdulhakeem Ajibola as its flagbearer.

 This is coming just few days after the electoral umpire in Ogun State, OGSIEC, has officially released list of candidates of all political parties ahead of the July 24 council poll. released The party also presented Hon. Adewole as its vice chairmanahip candidate. In affirmation of this, the party presented flags to the chairmanship, vice chairmanship and councillorship candidates, declaring that they are credible, reliable and qualified. 

 This was done at the grand finale rally of the party in the held in the local government today, 21st of July, 2021. 

The rally witnessed massive turnout of people from the length and breadth of Remo North and was equally attended by party faithful, leaders, elders and stakeholders.

During the flag presentation, the South West Zonal Legal Adviser of the Party, Barrister M.O. Kukoyi urged party members and good people of Remo North to go out en masse on Saturday and cast their votes for the People's Democratic Party (PDP). He enjoined them that to use the avenue of this local government election to reclaim the lost glory of the party and bring it back to winning ways. He explained that due to the lack of good governance and leadership exhibited by the APC since it took over local government affairs in Ogun State, the people can no longer entrust them with their votes and that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) remains the only solution to the political errors of the ruling party. He expressed confidence that the PDP will conveniently win the election as APC has done nothing to deserve being considered by the people. 

The Chairmanship candidate of the party, Omooba Abdulhakeem Ajibola in his address, assured the people of the local government of qualitative and effective governance if voted in. He vowed to be fair and equitable in running affairs of the local government. 

Among the leaders present at the eye-catching event include Rev. Sodiji, Comrade Sofade Olusola, Hon. Jimi Ogunbona, Sola Adegboyega, Hon. Bayi Oshiname, Adeyinka Onadeko, Mrs Labake Abiodun, Mr Jubril Shobowale, all ward Chairmen and the Councillorship Candidates of the party. 

In the entourage of the Southwest delegates were; Zonal Legal Adviser, Barrister M.O. Kukoyi, Mr Seyi Bamidele, Youth Leader, Akanni Owokoniran, Secretary, Oloye Sanya Akinfarati, PRO, Omo'ba Tunde Adewoyin, Financial Secretary.
