Members of National union of road transport workers (NURTW), Lagos State Branch, led by its Chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, has signed a peace accord in the presence of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu and his team.

Recall that, there have been serious fracas in the Lagos Island branch of the Union, where the front line rival to MC Oluomo, Kunle Poly is leading.

Members of Lagos Island branch were invited to a meeting with State Chairman, MC Oluomo, at the State chapter of the Union, at Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos State, unknowingly to them, they were walking into trap, where police rounded them up.

During police interrogations, most of the people arrested told newsmen that they didn't commit any crime, that they were only invited for a meeting with MC Oluomo, only to be rounded up by the police.

At the turn of events, to put an end to the ugly situation in the State Chapter of the Union, a meeting was convened, in respect of the perennial crisis rising from Lagos Island unit of Lagos State NURTW led by Azeez Adekunle AKA Kunle Poly and Mustapha Adekunle AKA Sego, they were all made to sign peace bond to ensure there will be no reoccurrence of such ugly incident.
