Sequel to the story our newspaper reported last year the systemic death of about thirty two victims of Human  Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) patients, they were discovered hacked to death by their various communities residents in the Northern region of Nigeria, our correspondent gathered  information from a reliable sources (community chiefs) in Fardan Furos village in the Nothern part of Nigeria, they disclosed the killings were carried out by the angry residents. The residents believed sexually transmitted viruses are very harmful to their immediate environment and that killing is the only way to expunge the disease from the society.

Our correspondent visited Police Divisional Office for comments on the killings but the Police declined and refused to wade in on the account that the victims cause of deaths are classified as homicides and not murder, hence, they claimed their investigations are ongoing and would not want to be drafted into any ethnicity or religious induced incidents.
The obvious patterns of HIV patients deaths are still being monitored by our correspondents all over the country.

The trouble had spread to the Southern part of the Country despite  public outcry, sensitization, and Public enlightenment given to  people about HIV patients in order to stop discrimination, stigmatisation and their killings.

We urge the Federal Government to wade into the abnormalities going on in North as it is gradually spreading to the Southern  part of the country.

HIV patients deserved to be treated with love as there existence does not constitute nuisance and menance to the society at large since there are drugs that can make them live normal and longer without complications.
