NECO revealed the Truth on Senator Ifeanyi Ubah’s school certificate saga

As the school certificate tussle between Anambra South Senator-elect, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah and his rival from People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Obinna Uzoh continues to generate public interest, National Examination Council (NECO) has released an official statement.

An Abuja High Court previously annulled the Senatorial ticket of Ifeanyi Ubah of Young Progressive Party (YPP) based on the grounds provided by Obinna Uzoh of PDP over a claim about forgery of NECO certificate which prompted the Court to rule that INEC should reissue Certificate of Return to Uzoh at the Senate. Ubah’s last week went to court to challenge the judgment, his prayers were granted and the process was stopped.

According to official documents released by NECO which was signed by Comfort L. Kolo, Esq (HOD, Legal and Board Affairs) for Registrar/Chief Executive of NECO confirmed Ifeanyi Ubah result was original and the Anambra South Senator-Elect sat for the Senior Secondary examination.

Below is the communication from NECO obtained by me;

The official statement stated; “I am directed to acknowledge receipt of your letter on the above subject matter dated 19th January 2020 and to reply as stated infra.”

“We hereby authenticate that the facts as stated in the statement of the result of a June/July 2003 (Appendix 1 of your letter) bearing the following details are correct.”
